Description
The Flame and Horsehead Nebula, captured using two different cameras in two different locations. This image was the result of combining data obtained from a specialised monochrome astronomical camera with a filter to isolate interstellar hydrogen, as well as a DSLR camera shooting in standard colour. The total exposure to create this image is 3.3 hours, and took me much longer to process.

Camera: Canon EOS400D (modified)
Exposure: 7 x 300sec, guided
As I gaze at this picture in awe, I can't help but feel appreciative of the time you spent to capture and finish this. I'm so very glad there are people like you in the world who are willing to let us gaze into the cosmos as though looking through an astronaut's lens, completely for free. Thank you. ❤️
